SUSPENSION

Teachers keep a written record of all serious misbehaviours as well as a record of improvements in the behaviour of disruptive pupils.  Every effort will be made to have an emotionally disturbed child referred without delay for psychological assessment.

ROLE OF PARENTS/PARENT : TEACHER RELATIONSHIP

The support and co-operation of parents is essential to the effective operation of the Code of Discipline.  If teachers and parents are not working in harmony, inevitably, the pupils will suffer.

Parents will be informed at an early stage where possible suspensions are involved.  Parents are invited to keep in close contact with the school with regard to all aspects of the child�s progress.

If parents are concerned about any aspect of their child�s development, it is vital for them to make an early appointment with the child�s class teacher to discuss the matter.  The teacher is a dedicated professional and has the child�s best interest at heart. He is there to lend a helping hand.

Co-Operation, understanding and good relations between teacher and parents are crucial to the effective operation of  the Code of Discipline.
